I’m still slightly obsessed with the spring 2010 Miu Miu collection. I can’t get over the fun prints, so I decided to DIY a few pieces. First up was a printed collar, as seen on Keira Knightly below:
My version:
You will need:
a solid color shirt with a collar
scissors
permanent maker or fabric pen
swallow drawings (or cat or the ladies)
Cut the collar off below the seam, getting as close as you can without cutting through the seam.
Then, either draw by hand, or trace on the swallows. I didn’t put too many on, but you can do as many or as few as you want.
Then, try it on! The whole thing took me about five minutes, and it’s really simple!

Oooo cute idea! I’m not generally a fan of collars, as I have a bit of a complex about how short and stubby my neck is, but it looks great on you! I’m also a fan of the Miu Miu print – really fun!
