Paper Doll Project
Do you want to participate in the Paper Doll Project?
Do you want another style blogger to style you for a day? Do you want to style someone else? Welcome to the Paper Doll Project where you get connected with another blogger and “dress” each other for a day.
This experiment started from a random twitter conversation. Now, it’s open to anyone that wants to join in the fun!
Here’s how it will work:
Give me your name, blog address and email address. You choose the item of clothing you want your outfit styled around. It could be a scarf, shoes, dress, earrings, whatever! I will randomly pair you up with another blogger and the two of you will style each other for a day. Then, everyone participating in the project will post their photos/outfits on the same day. It’s like one giant style party for everyone!

Signup closed on Friday, September 16.
Notification will NOT be sent until after the 16th. If you want to make sure you’re on the list, tweet me at @redheaded and I can verify for you. I will send out an HTML document of all the participants prior to the day so you guys can also promote the other pairings.

The list of matches will be emailed out as soon as I can put it together (depends on the number of participants), which gives everyone at least one week to style, be styled and take photos.

PS- I’ve had a few questions about how exactly the styling process will work, since we don’t know what each others owns. My idea was to go through your partner’s archives to see what else they’ve worn and presumably still own, then work with them to put together your look. If they don’t have extensive archives, you may have to suggest items to them to see if they own it or something similar.

What a fun idea Suze! I am doing the 30×30 right now and I might be all challenged out by the time it’s over. Lol! But I will keep this on my radar and think about signing up before the deadline.
this is a great idea to do with other bloggers. We used to do it on Wardrobe Remix a few years ago and it was always fun to see how others responded to an outfit you picked for someone.

This sounds great! I have a square sheer scarf (pink, red, and floral) that I’ve tried mixing into my wardrobe but nothing has really been my favorite!

I’m sure we’ll do it again! Everyone had a month to sign up, with the cut off date announced at that time, and I STILL had people wanting to jump in.

Nope! You post them on your blog on Thursday, and link back to your partner, and my blog (if you like), and I link to all partners here on my blog
When/where do we sign up for the next Paper Doll Project?
The Paper Doll Project is held every other month, so the next will be in September. I usually put up the signup option a few weeks before, so be on the lookout for it later in August.

Not yet! I haven’t posted the sign up sheet yet, my plan was to do it this weekend, so check back again in a few days!

I would love to be a participant in the Paper Doll Project. Having a stylist and being a stylist for a day sounds fun and a lil bit challenging.
